Basketball update: Neb did KU (9-2) and TU (9-2) a big favor, upseting KSU (8-3)71-64. Beasley didn't touch the ball on K-State's first 10 possessions and was held scoreless the first nine minutes. He ended up with 17 points and 10 rebounds for a hard-earned double-double that tied Carmelo Anthony's all-time NCAA freshman record of 22.
The Huskers shot 52 percent, their season-high against Big 12 opponents.
"It was the most embarrassing defensive performance of any team I've coached in 23 years, and I've coached 13 year olds," Wildcats coach Frank Martin said.
KSU play at BU, TU at home, then at KU. KU had the week off then at OSU, at ISU, then KSU at home.
K-State just can't seem to win away, Neb..although They did better away this time then before. All the games seem to be so rough..The referees don't see all the fowls...Walker was kneeed in the groin (verb painful) once which they didn't see..and we saw on the rerun.
I doubt if we win anymore games...most are all away. I know we won't win at KU. Texas being here is a possibility.
I didn't think they were so bad defensively as the coach related.
We have snow again today and tomorrow..but a dry snow and not slick. It is very cold, only 18 degrees at noon.
